Re: The Escape

YSB this piece was talked about on Facebook today with someone saying they owed you money for the print they made from your file

to quote them Paul Posner good question... I have a similar issue - about 2 years ago, someone posted a model to thingiverse, and recently I wound up using it as an art-piece, with some minor modification and a bunch of stuff added to it...
Now I can't find this model or it's maker, and I am about to sell this piece - for a handsome price - and I'd like to give him/her a piece of the action, but I can't find the post or poster

Re: The Escape

Thanks Manx.. i think it's a request from GoolGaul (2 posts above). He PM me for that.  I feel extremely flattered of his request *Ego bonus +100 *. he made a piece of art based on my model for a charity auction for kids.I told him that he can give the money that he wanted to send me to this charity.

he made some really nice infinity clock

Re: The Escape

bahh.. the politic of Daz3d on 3dprinting is not good... because they want to print themselves their models... so they restrict the print to personal use only... ( http://www.daz3d.com/eula )

I avoid like the plague any model from daz3d (and daz studio), and use only free models (not from daz3d ... i like antonia polygon that you can find on runtimeDNA website,  even on "the escape" it's another free base 3d model which I forgot the name, but it was from the Poser 4 era.. the geometry was so heavily modified that it does not retain any polygons from the original) to set the skeleton for some of my base models.. daz3d models are good for pictures, but only the last generation is good for 3d printing (genesis 2 ). the older models need a lot of work to make them "printables"

my zbrush/meshmixer-fu is better model after model and now, it's 90% of my time when i create a new sculpture.
