I love mine. I just turned over 50 hours today. Other then the terrible bed calibration procedure I've got no complaints. It does what I want. Granted I'm not making random thingamabobs or do hickeys which seems to be what everyone else does here. I wanted mine to get scale model prototypes right so that I can cast them. It's been amazing for that.

My print very similar except is in two colours as the model is changed slightly for the duo. Worked straight out the box too.

My only issue to date has been one blockage which I cleared after some research. Other than that I now have over 200 hours printing and no major issues with it - although I have adopted the paper manual calibration method.

XYZ have been sending out some ebook redemption codes for an itunes book on their printers. Without the code I believe it's about $30 to buy. IMHO this just should have been included documentation for the printer and would answer alot of the basic questions on operation for the printer.

You guys with the vibratoons needt find the source and fix it rather than putting a band aid on it. My machine purrs at 50mm/s and I have to check to see if it is running sometimes in the same room. My bed stays where I set it as well. If you guys are having vibrations at a magnitude that is loosening stuff are to a point it is disturbing then something on your machine is not right and needs to be fixed.

For those running Repetier firmware, you might want to try Cura host. It slices faster and better than Slic3r and actually makes the machine run even less noisy. Not sure why that is but I confirmed it last night. I will be going back to it now that the printer talks to it. It has always been my host for ever.

I haven't had to calibrate my bed in two weeks now and I've made a ton of machine-shaking prints.

Ever since I installed my modified bed-level adjusters. Try 'em and see for yourself.

Enjoy your problem free usage while it lasts- not long a month or two.
Soon bed goes out of whack and you foolishly follow xyzp's auto calibration
instructions. Possibly the bed suddenly stops sticking ( no temp setting in gcode
offline file- was it there before ie a software problem).

So you will have a challenge, if you come out of it you have a basic solid enclosed
printer for half the price of its competitors- we are getting towards mass market stable price not the startup markup.
I do wonder if the noisy racket of the steppers will loosen a critical screw soon.

Thanks for posting this - I got the impression reading many of the posts that I made a mistake buying the Da Vinci XYZ 1.0A. However I am very impressed with the prints it produces.

When I received the printer it had been badly knocked about in transit so that the cardboard packaging was damaged. The printer though looked OK.

The problems due to the transit shock were that the Y axis rods were misaligned, the Y axis sensor had moved and the bed calibration was way off. After putting these right the printer works very well.
