I only said that because Bestbuy said they were not carring the 1,0 unit any more and that Newegg will not allow you to retun the unit. I then just put 2 and 2 together. I did not know when I made the comment that XYZ is making a 1.0A version.

I haven't been following too closely either, I just didn't want to make any claim that there was, from a hacker's perspective, no difference at all between 1.0 and a 1.0A. I'm intrigued why the OP made the claim that the machine was "getting harder to purchase". Perhaps he'll pop back sometime and let us know what he meant.

I think what he meant is that unless you specifically ask a vendor to confirm the serial number is for a 1.0 before shipping, chances are high you will get a 1.0A now. At least that is what I thought when reading his post and knowing the story behind them.

A bit OT, but is this still the case? Haven't been following closely, but I thought the Repetier guys were pretty much set with the new versions. Or did you mean just the cart hacking with stock firmware?

I just bought the Da Vinci 1.0. I got 6 ABS Filament 600g catridges for about $569us total at Newegg. I think that was a pretty good deal. I have no idea if the printer is going to work when I get it. It seems like this printer is getting harder to purchase. Maybe it is going to be phased out. At least BestBuy is not carrying the Da Vinci any more.
Anyway I am getting excited. I have the iPad Air 1 and I currently have the apps Autodesk 123D design, Force Effects M, Factory Desgn, Artist3D, Autocad 360, Autocad 123 Catch, and icad Free. As some of the iPad apps that I have found.

Is that iPad your only device? I ask because you will absolutely need a computer. As the machine is stock it will not interface with anything but its software and Simplify3d. Both of which only run on PC. There is a Mac version of the XYZ software but I understand it is hard to get to work.
