Since I couldn't make her stand on her own, I borrowed one of my wife's doll stands, so here are a few more pics. Notice the Coke can next to the model This will give you an idea of the size. When standing she's taller than a Solidoodle 3 printer !

This started a few days ago as an attempt to help cpsmicahel fix the model he was trying to print. The model was designed by Sonia Verdu, and published on Thingiverse:

In the process I though it would be cool to try printing this myself. The model is made from 25 parts, and when complete it stands 14" tall. Easily the largest single model I made to date. She was printed with .1mm layers and at medium speed, resulting in a very detailed model. I think the total print time for all the parts was in excess of 40 hours.

As mentioned in the title, this is a ball jointed, articulated puppet. Its parts are held together with elastic cords.

The biggest problem I have with it, is that there's literally no friction between the parts, and it's extremely hard to pose the puppet. So I need to figure out some kind of means to add a non-skid, rubber like surface between the parts.

So here she is making herself at home on my SD3.
