New case can get to about 100°F and is so far only sealed with a weather strip on the inside of the door and held with a cabinet magnet.  I'm hoping to make it more efficient at retaining heat so that it can act as a heated chamber.  Lightyears better than the plexiglass one I used to use.

It's hard to tell, but the back wall is cut out to allow the back of the Solidoodle to be exposed to the room's temperature, and there is another seal around that to retain heat.  This allows the electronics to not get as hot as the rest of the machine.  I thought about just attaching the electronics to the box, but I want to still be able to remove the printer for mods.

- Ceiling mounted exhaust fan
- Portable Air Conditioning Unit / Portable Heater
- Stock SD2 with wood / acrylic cover; top mounted spool / Glass Bed
- 700 Watt UPS for power "blinks"
- 40mm cooling fan on electronics with cover
- Running Solidworks, Netfabb studio, RH
- Baby monitor wireless camera

The other end of my space is a 3-axis mill and lathe...manual only; thinking of upgrading those to CNC at some point.

Rolling cart for easily moving it out to print and back to a tidy out of the way place.  Also has a shelf on bottom with a plastic bin for various goodies -- spare parts, grease, painter's tape, etc.

The cart includes a hex set holder, my caliper holder, and my "no gun" plaque.  I also keep a little pair of pliers for plucking the oozed ABS off the extruder.

The printer's mods include my enclosure system, Lawsy's MK4 head, glass bed held with binder clips, cable guide, Z-axis wobble nut hugger, filament guide, thumbscrews, and an electronics cover with two cooling fans.

Seal the enclosure well, the fan makes a negative pressure relative to ambient, so fumes can't get out but airflow is low enough that internal temperatures are not signifigantly affected. I've printed 6" x 6" without warp.
