Here's an update on my problem in case anyone else runs into this. I think my cartridge malfunctioned. It hadn't been used much and has a bunch of filament still in it. I manually unloaded the filament by removing the heating cartridge, snipping the filament inside the cartridge, pulling the cartridge out, then working forever to get what remained of the filament out of the nozzle. I cleaned the nozzle well, then put in a new cartridge and can load/unload it at will from the menu. The nozzle heats as it should now, but I'm having a very difficult time getting filament to load down into the nozzle now. I think removing and reinstalling the heating cartridge has things misaligned.

I was in the middle of a print and got an 0028 Error "Cartridge 1 can not be found." I tried to unload the cartridge and then got a 0011 error. The extruder never heated up; it just went up a degree then back down a degree over and over again. I checked all the connections and I took out the heating cartridge and checked it over, but it all looked good. If I run "Clean Nozzle" the extruder definitely gets super hot though (tested with a wet paper towel). Is there a difference between the heating the unload cartridge function does and the clean nozzle function?
