I have yet to use Soliprint for a print, using Repetier 85b, from Solidoodles website, Press settings included. Still tweaking, but have had some good prints, although the extruder slipping problem has yet to be resolved for me. Using Soliprint only to re-set the z-offset, as bed was too close to nozzle to extrude a good flow.

Hey guys. I'm brand new to the community. Just reaching out because I just barely got my Solidoodle Press (first solidoodle, second 3d printer). I've been having a lot of trouble with it. I thought I'd reach out to other new press owners and see if we could get together and solve some of each others problems. The biggest problem I've been having is actually with the SoliPrint Software. Most of the models I load in show up as big red boxes above the build platform and I can't get them to show up, or move or anything. Anybody else have this issue?

Basically I was wondering if anybody has gotten successful prints by using Repetier. I've been looking to do that, and bypass SoliPrint until they get all the bugs figured out in the software. However I connected with Repetier to move the bed around and it seemed to mess up the machines internal z offset. So I'm worried about doing that. Also, I was wondering if there would be a way to run their fancy bed leveling procedure with Repetier.

Sorry, lots of questions and concerns. I just wanted to get this discussion going. I don't have much time to really compose my thoughts better. Or, as Abraham Lincoln once said: "sorry for the length of this letter, I did not have time to make it shorter."

Cheers!
