I have been working with the davinci aio for several hours now. Here’s what I have come up with. I have successfully installed 1.1.j on it (even though it’s for the 1.0 not aio) and I have got repetier on it as well. Those both seem to work fine. The only other firmware I have tried is 1.1.3. I have the xyzerocart and that was allowing me to dictate what material and how long the filament was for the printer, but I was not able to modify any temperatures. Supposedly, the xyzerocart will give you full control on version 1.1.3 in the aio and that is why I tried to revert back. I do still want the functionality of the scanner, but at the same time, would like the freedom to alter the bed and extruder temps. Unfortunately there seems to be some sort of status somewhere else on the board that will not let previous versions of the firmware on there. I even opened up the bin file with a hex editor and altered the code that read 1.1.3 to 1.1.5 and that still did not work. There must be something else in the bin file that lets the machine know its 1.1.3 and there must be somewhere else on the machine that regulates versions that are allowed to be installed. I failed to pull the .dat file from the SD card before I tried to downgrade and now I can’t even try to put 1.1.5 back on. If anyone has version 1.1.5, or has not hacked their aio, would you be willing to get me that file from your SD card inside the machine? I would also like to compare both files’ hex data as well. All you have to do is pull the SD card out and copy the files from it. The file I need is FW_upgrade.dat if you have not tried to modify your aio.
