The wrench was one of the first things i printed. I followed the directions from you tube. Search for chuck hellbuychk.  He recommended printing it vertically.  Came out awesome. He also demonstrated the hinged box. That also worked well. Look him up.

Same here.  I did need to print the hinged one twice though since I applied too much pressure trying to get the first one to open and broke it.    My adjustable wrench works fine.  If you do that one don't forget to take out the three chunks of removable support that are built on the wrench end, otherwise you get no where fast. 

I will add that I spent some time trying to get the bed right and the right tension on the belts.  I used stock firmware as well.

OK, thanks for the input. Do you have suggestions about what software applications to consider?

In most cases it would require you to consider flashing your machine to Repetier firmware which would void your warranty but would give you more control and better prints. Then use Repetier host. I don't think with the way the stock firmware and software operates the machine that such prints are possible. If anyone else has had luck at making such prints I welcome you to prove me wrong. But I tried for a month making a one piece crescent wrench and went through an entire roll of filament and still had no luck.
