No worrries, ill just have to stop being lazy and finally model up the frame. After using SW so much at work, I rarely can motivate myself to medel in my free time. Very nice work though!

I'm adding a new snapshot.  Since the last update I've added a few things to the model, and refined a few things.  Most notable are the addition of the electronics (RAMPS/Arduino) and the framework holding it in place, as well as the newly designed belt clamps for the Y carriages.

I'm also going to post a full render, but it's taking a while, mostly because of the frame transparency.

I added a few things.  The "Y" drive belts are in place, so is the bed, MK2A heater, and the adjustment screws and springs.

Yes, anything that is printable, that is.  I suppose you can also take all the sheet metal parts (like the frame) and hand them over to a sheet metal shop, and they'd make that for you.

Or even better, get rid of the sheet metal for a sturdier frame!

I completely agree having the whole thing drawn up to scale would have been an awesome tool modding mine!  Quite impressive work pirvan!  Now you can simply select a component and export to stl to print out can't you?

Very nice work.  I use Inventor every day so I understand how much work you've put into this.  How close is the "Z" drive screw to actual thread count?

It's totally accurate in length, diameter, pitch, end stops.  And it looks like the real deal. 

But I didn't model everything 100%.  It doesn't have the actual ball race groove in the threads, and the nut doesn't have the balls inside, but it's not required to make it work.  I used the mechanical mates option in Solidworks, so the ball-screw rotation will actually move the ball-nut (and the bed) up and down based on the actual pitch 4mm/360°.

So far I've added  most of the necessary mates between the movable and fixed components, so the X carriage can slide on the Y rods, and the print head slides on the X rods.

I still need to do the belts, and limit the maximum travel to the maximum physical limits
