I used a dewalt fastener case from home depot. I then printed a cylinder to hold the spool, and a smaller piece for the door that supports the spool cylinder from sagging. I mounted those with 1/4" bolts, dead center in the case. I then drilled a 1/2" hole in the top left to install a 3/8" grommet in the top corner. I then printed a plug that can be inserted into the hole when not printing, that is notched so the filament can remain connected to the printer while plugged. Then I just threw the desiccant pack that came with the reel into the bottom.
