Nice work.  Any reason your sticking with the stock bushings? Replacing those with some flange bearings should help with reducing  flex on the shaft from line tension.

Unfortunately, I'll have to get some 50mm M3 bolts to attach the mk5 extruder to the new carriage before I can get printing again and see what the
backlash is like, but it sure seems to move well to the naked eye.
