<![CDATA[SoliForum - 3D Printing Community — question about printing a vase]]> https://www.soliforum.com/topic/8698/question-about-printing-a-vase/ Thu, 11 Dec 2014 21:26:26 +0000 PunBB <![CDATA[Re: question about printing a vase]]> https://www.soliforum.com/post/74870/#p74870 In my experience, 1 perimeter is usually not enough to make a vase worth having.  It will be very weak.  With a 0.4 mm nozzle, your width is probably about 0.48 mm and that is just not a lot of plastic and it is going to be flimsy.  Not to mention if your vase has steep sides you might even get gaps.  For a decent sized vase that takes up most of my build plate I would use at least three perimeters.  This does mean not spiral vase settings but oh well.
