Sorry, the E3D is an all-metal hot end that can print many other higher temp materials including Nylon (T-Glase)...the link for it is below; but you may want to get more familiar with your machine before jumping into mods right away...

Your wife is probably using Seimens NX...or whatever module they have incorporated for Boeing; perhaps it is still CATIA...either way I'm sure quite outstanding platforms.

Whatever it is, see if Boeing offers a "home license" for employees...

Also im not sure what kind of mods i should get or what the next step is really with my printer.

im looking to make a plexiglass case and to find some glass for the bed. (my bed came really warped)
i have a piece of glass on there now but its a few inches short on one side

ive use PLA and ABS but the ABS seems to work way better

Very nice print indeed...however, as someone who designs and supplies clamps as part of my day job, do not rely on ABS to hold anything more than a picture frame for gluing.

Maybe get an E3D and try some T-glase Nylon...

What are you using for design software?

So i have a 3d printer... a soliddoodle 2. I've had it for a little while but only recently really started using it a lot. I'm trying to get a little more serious in learning about 3d printers and robotics. I've also purchased a starter robot kit so i'm trying to learn how to code aswell. i've been trying to make an account on the letsmakerobots.com site but havent been able to...
