So just cutting a smooth rod is not enough. You would also need the grooves cut for the snap rings in the exact spot to keep them ridgid.</p>]]></description>

The only way to get new ones though unless under warranty would be to buy one of those damaged Da vinci&#039;s off eBay and hope it does not have the same issue.</p>]]></description>

			<description><![CDATA[<p>So I got a 0031 error and it&#039;s the y axis having trouble. I figured it out that it&#039;s the metal y axis rails the extruder casing runs on. The extruder casing gets stuck and feels hard to move on the y axis. I have to use force to move the printing head on the rail. This is with the belts being loosened all the way. I have no idea why it would sliding so badly on the rail. Even if I turn the motor up it will probably make a screeching sound trying to pull the printer head</p>]]></description>
