All,

Given that it seems quite difficult to get info on setting up the Da Vinci to print .gcode files natively and get better prints than the default XYZware I thought I would construct a brief guide.

Firstly I haven't changed the stock firmware and I recently updated to the latest version. I have drilled into the side of the case to gain access to the SD card

Next you need to install Craftware, which I have to say is a brilliant slicer.

The bed settings are 200mm x 200m x 270mm (x,y and z respectively)

Then in terms of slicing I use the following settings and they seem to work - see photos attached

The speed setting for printing is about the top limit of the capability of the XYZ, anything faster and it doesn't like printing accurately.

Then save the GCODE to the SD card of the printer as one of the files in there either SAMPLE01.gcode, SAMPLE02.gcode etc.

Next go to the SD card right click and edit with Notepad++

Ctrl+H replace all G0 with G1

Save the file as SAMPLE01 or SAMPLE02 or SAMPLE03.gcode back on to the SD card

Re-insert the SD card into the printer and then print from the Utlities menu

Hope that helps people because I know I was getting stuck

Regards

Grant
