I used the aux fan out on the board & hooked up a 12v 41mm fan. it was very straight forward just two pins to solder. I added a header just in case the fan dies, i can replace it easily. I enabled RH & Slic3r for fan support, finally I created my own fan mount and bolted it to the side where the extra extruder fan mounted I used those pins to drive the E3D. I get terrific prints!

I would trace back the wires from the fan to the board and check connections. If everything looks good i'd say its a bad fan. Try and hook up an extra fan or use a multimeter on the connections to check for power. That is the easiest way to tell if its the fan or connections.

I picked up an innova and couldnt be happier. Works for simple things and home reapiars.

http://www.amazon.com/INNOVA-3320-Auto- … B000EVYGZA

Every tutorial I've looked at for upgrading the hotend glosses over this part entirely, how\where do I hook the cooling fan up to power? It's probably a blantant newbie question, but that's pretty much what I am. I used a battery for a day or so but it ran that dry really quickly so I'm looking for a permanent solution. Thanks in advance.
