The latest version of XYZWare has new ways to mess with your prints by altering the slicer if you're using a resetted cartridge (even if you are on G or J).

Do not use the latest XYZWare and stay on 1.30 or 1.29 - no major difference in slicing and these versions do not have the crippleware routines in it.

F3

P.S. These issues seem to be related to the app being able to connect to the internet and sending statistical information to their servers. Sometimes the software can't connect to their server and that is why sometimes your prints are ok ...

I am still not sure what was happening with that other file, but I started over (from the hollow .stl file I generated from the SRTM GEO data) ran it through meshlab and blender again and tried that new file and it printed as I was expecting.

You can see the results in the attached photo. These are the Hawaiian islands in case you can't tell. This is for a school project I am working on with my daughter for her Social Studies class.

Anyone have an idea why this is happening?

The object I am trying to print is in the .png image from Meshlab and the .jpg is a picture I took with my phone of the actual print that comes from the stock software. I am running 1.1.31.7 of the software and 1.1.G firmware. It doesn't seem to matter what I make the settings, it just keeps making the very thin bottom of this print like 1/2" thick for some reason.

Thanks for any help.
