And yeah, I could work a notch in there to recess a magnet into the print.
But a powder coated frame is a little too tempting smile

I think printer #3 will be a T slot frame. The plus side of using those is there are so many designs already on Thingiverse to easily work with the slots like the OB1.4 printer.

- It makes a very rigid framework

and if you want, you can just pop some T-nuts with flat head screws anywhere along each outer edge (your magnetic spots) for magnets to stick to...
