The more I use Blender the more I like it. You can set the scale, though I usually use a combination of Sketchup and Blender so I do most scaling in Sketchup. The reason you need to repair files is to fix doubles, orphan lines, normals etc.

The box you attached slices fine for me in Repetier v.1.0.4 using Slic3r v1.1.7. Though it is larger than the print area when I import it, but I am importing as Inches.

I tried a bunch of different CAD programs some months back. Blender was one of the ones I hated most. On hindsight, it's kind of a blurr on exactly why I didn't like some of the programs I tried, so I could be mistaken, but I seem to remember one of the problems I had with Blender was I couldn't figure out how to scale the models. That might explain what you're describing. For example, instead of a model being 4 inches tall, it's coming out 4 microns tall.

Does the above sound like what you're seeing? Does what is being printed seem to be a microscopic version of what you want to print?

I apologize that I'm unable to offer suggestions on how to fix the problem, but sometimes figuring out what the problem is may be helpful. Maybe someone else can tell you how to scale your models in Blender and you can try it to see if that's what's going on.

Thanks.
But I dont understand what needs repairing. I wouldnt want to pass the model through another program if I could just fix the problem in the same program I created the model in.

I can load and slice/print STL files found from the internet just fine with Repetier Host.
When I try to slice an STL file in Repetier Host with Slic3r which I've created with Blender, it generates and prints a 1 layer blob with 3 dots.
I've attached an STL exported with Blender to this post.

Any ideas what the problem is? Maybe a different version of STL format or something?

Its just a cube. The mesh in Blender was manifold, had no doubles, and normals were correct.
