Yes, you should put some glue to fix it, but it is a Solidoodle''s quality problem.

Thanks for the reply and suggestion. I think it should work it seems to go down somewhat ok but needs help lifting. I just got a reply from solidoodle so I'll see what they say after I sent them a pic. I just don't want to mess it up for warranty reasons.

That is supposed to be pressed on the motor but you could probably try some red loctite. I think it it would work just fine with that but it depends on how loose it is on the motor shaft.

Hi my first post and first 3d printer.

I got some y banding issues I know I can fix with belt tension.
But I'm left scratching my head wondering what's missing the solidoodle 4 shipped with the threaded rod off the z stepper. So I lifted the plate and put the rod on the motor. Obviously it's just slipping inside the rod, what am I missing or what can I do to fix this?
