I setup the e3d v6 on a 1.0 with repetier .92. (using the files from thingverse and the directions here) I'm using slicer settings I found in one of the few youtube videos. The printer connects well, and moves well too. The thermoister, fan and hot head work fine.

So when I go to test print something things seem to go well in the first 10 layers, but after that not so much. It gets bad and turns to slop. I've ran several test prints and they have all done the same thing.

Can anyone help me figure out what my problem is? I would love to complete this project.

Maybe a picture? I mean slop is a pretty vague term. Be a little more accurate with what is happening and we can see if we can give you some direction.

I know that's an old topic but I need some help related to this. The thermistor wires of my Da Vinci printer have broken and I would like to replace the thermistor. Does anybody know which one is the correct thermistor to put on it?

Do you have an e3d? If you do you can just order another from E3d online.

There is a setting in the configuration.h which i think needs to be changed.

I've done that, but only makes things worse. Ambient temp is shown as 86ºC

Hello everyone, I also modified my printer using drawing of Tom. I'm using repetier 0.91 firmware but I have a problem with the setting of the thermistor. I installed the thermistor recommended for E3D V6 but the temperature is not correct. How did you solve the problem?
I also tried to create a custom table:

The thermistor installed is 100K Semitec 104GT2 NTC thermistor

I'm on the same boat... currently using the default table in repetier (#5), but it doesn't seem completely accurate. For instance, for a real ambient temp of 22ºC the E3D thermistor reads 28ºC.

So no one has created a working custom thermistor table for the E3D and the davinci yet?

I'll probably be ordering some soon enough. If I do, I'll let you know how it works out.

Beat ya too it! lol I printed my first test piece in ninja flex last night and it came out awesome! After some more torture tests I will post up the bowden extuder I designed for flexible filaments. It keeps the material constrained for the entire length of the bowden setup unlike airtrippers design.
