No, I was not happy with releasing the file as it currently places a slight amount of pressure on the USB cable coming off the board.  I have been thinking about a redesign but I don't know when I will have that finished. If you want this though just PM me.

Though I got my printer a week or so before the electronics cover was issued, so I have now printed a modified version of lawzzys case with a CPU fan mount in the top of it.
Just FYI on the fan cooling, IR thermometer put my motor drivers at 71C after a minute or so into a print, putting a CPU fan in front of them for 3 seconds dropped it to about 45C. It certainly makes a huge difference.

I want a copy of this one to stick a couple of fans on my soldering bench .. to get rid of fumes. Perhaps a sucking version and a carbon trap would be better.

]]> Sun, 09 Dec 2012 12:54:53 +0000 https://www.soliforum.com/post/6715/#p6715 <![CDATA[Side mounted fans for cooling electronics]]> https://www.soliforum.com/post/6706/#p6706 So I wanted some fans to cool the electronics but I also wanted to maintain the clear electronics cover that came with the printer.  I figured I could hang a fan mount on the outside and duct the air across the board.  It is held on using a magnet and some built in slots which allow it to slide over the edge of the existing plexi cover. I used two 50mm fans and wired them to a separate power supply.  It seems to move a decent amount of air across the electronics. I'm pretty happy with it.  You can see the slot the air is ducted through in one of the pictures.
