I tried slowing it down by changing the Speed settings in Slicer (under Print Settings).

I then tried it on 2 different prints, just in case the first one that I had was messed up somehow.

On both prints, the first few layers (3 or 4?) seem to go down perfect - then all hell breaks loose. The edges then start to look more like "lava rock", than anything else.

Am I missing something? Doing something wrong? I am still VERY new to this whole process and really want to learn!

I am again putting photos in this post so that you can see what I mean.

Thank you!
Perlguy

I think that I have everything calibrated and I've done all of the steps in the instructions for setting up Repetier, and then re-split my .stl file with the .1mm settings.

The print starts out looking like it is going to be awesome, but after printing a few layers, it starts looking awful and has all sorts of lines that are not sticking to the layers.

I am attaching some photos so you can see what I mean - it is easier to look at the photos than try to fully explain it all.

Based on the photos, what do you think is the problem here? I am not sure what to check next.

Thanks!

Perlguy.
