I would recommend modelling this manually - get a ruler out and start measuring.
For a tray like that it doesn't have to be exact, and can be much simpler shape than the tool itself, e.g.

Thanks Tony. I was actually interested in making one with "cutouts" specifically for the tools that I would place them in like in a socket set.

Since starting the 3D printing hobby I purchased some needle files and a hobby knife set from Harbor Freight that both came in holders; however the set of small pliers I purchased did not come in any kind of holder. I am wanting to try to print something to contain them so they aren't floating around loose in my toolbox. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on the best way to proceed with this.

I tried laying them out on one of the pieces of glass I use on the bed in the most efficient order I could wile leaving enough space for a decent wall thickness and then converted the image to black and white, cleaned it up and uploaded to shapeways to turn into a 3D model, but I could never get the dimensions from that model back to matching up well enough with the original tools. It also looked like I would use more plastic than necessary that way, though I could trim out some of the additional white space.

Has anyone done something similar or know of a better way to do this?

Thank You
