It looks like I haven't made it past the original bootloader yet. Off to order more parts from sparkfun. Going to upgrade to 1284p while I'm at it. I have a RUMBA and new power supply ready to install but wanted to play with the firmware and get my mounting options situated before doing so. Besides, it'll be nice to keep a backup board around.

Which bootloader is recommended?

Anyone have any quick tips for setting up an Arduino ISP to burn the bootloader?

EDIT - apparently neither sparkfun nor adafruit carry the 1284p anymore but digikey of course does.

I just got over my fear of updating firmware on my old Sanuinololu 1.3 for my SD3 and I thought I would be able to do these two things without too much trouble but I haven't had any luck as far as UTFSE goes - please help if you can.

I thought that I'd be able to see the bed output graph in RH if I updated my firmware but apparently I was wrong. I half recall needing to do something to the board beyond just changes in the firmware but dont know what. What do I need to do to see the bed output graph in RH? I'm using the firmware from this post in the RUMBA thread: http://www.soliforum.com/post/58149/#p58149.

I'm also having a problem autotuning my bed heater which is something I've wanted to do for a long time now but was scared of the firmware process. Now that I'm getting over that and have enabled the "define PIDTEMPBED" and "BED_LIMIT_SWITCHING" the command M303 E-1 C8 S90 heats the extruder instead of the bed. What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks guys,
Jake

PS - how do you add the "help please" and/or "solved" tags to a thread title?
