My pcb guy usually charges $1 each for "prototype" boards.  They don't get full resolution, but they've never been a problem for me.

I've read a little bit about some of the LCD add on projects.  It seem like the Panelolu should be the easiest as it's built into the firmware.  I like the fact that you can grab the cad files online.  I've downloaded the eagle cad files and looked at them.  In the past I would expect to see another micro controller dedicated to the panel, but that would require it's own development.

I am just about to have my pcb guy do some non-related work and have contemplated printing myself one.  Of course, you can't print one.  It's an arm twist to get 10 at minimum.

I certainly don't want to violate any open source agreements or capitalize on other's projects.  At the same time it would be a shame to have extra boards that others might want.  Does anyone know if it's possbile to group buy in order to avoid issues?
