now for a couple 6x6 glass plates so I stop shaving my kaptan during removal of prints. some are easy with icing or cooking spatulas (not the kind for flipping eggs). some need razor. last few I just layde icing spatchula on bed and gave cooled part swift a wack sliding on bed. they pop right off. just dont do thin parts.

Its purely an option. I've printed 10's of kg's of stuff on Kapton or Glass + Kapton or Glass + Hairspray.. although last 12months I've just been using PEI/Ultem - no mess, no fuss. Personally never resorted to ABS on the bed itself.

PLA you just need a less warm bed and blue tape.. or again, just boring old PEI...

But hey - thats just my own empirical experience across multiple printers and bed types. YMMV.

Glue stick has PVA glue in it, hairspray has vinyl copolymer. You need some sort of polymer on the bed, a sheet of PEU/ultem works too.
