Certainly infill settings will be important. tongue

That said, why not run week-long print jobs? Would open up some awesome opportunities (furniture for a start...).

Yes we are enclosing sides with acrylic, Update pictures of machine will be posted soon.

Regarding speed of machine, Slower the speed good is the printing Quality.
Speed can be increase with software but at the cost of not so good quality o/p.

I hope they included automatic bed leveling...I would hate to tackle that one with wing nuts and a dollar bill!

]]> Wed, 16 Jul 2014 16:49:52 +0000 https://www.soliforum.com/post/60450/#p60450 <![CDATA[Re: Introducing Makemendel - 3D printer and Component Shop.]]> https://www.soliforum.com/post/60444/#p60444 Rigidity would be a real issue with a machine that size.  You would want to run it slower to prevent wobble and overshoot.  I never like running a Solidoodle faster than that for the same reason.  It would be nice to go faster to get through massive prints, but speed isn't the way to do it.  If you are printing something that large, you may not need .3mm layers and can save time by using less resolution, maybe use 3mm filament through a .7mm nozzle.
