I Havb't installed lawsy carriages yet, still waiting on bearings. But I am having that same problem with the Y slamming the front pulley bracket. Why? I fixed this by decreasing my print size by 5mm! Any idea? Its a SD3, all stock for now...;)

Ok...after fidgeting with the X belt, I got her all put together. However, when I home X, the center/front parts slams into the pulley and cannot with the switch, causing a troubling grinding sound. I have not tested a print yet due to this, but it appears to be the same case on the left Y carriage as well.

Any thoughts?

I have been having some issues with this upgrade. I bought new rods from Mcmaster-Carr and they fit very snug into the carriages. But I am having significant shimmying on the X rods. When I try to slide everything font/back to toss the belts back on, I have to firmly hold both sides of the X so it moves evenly.
I got rid of the hose clamps and threw on a few collar shafts, so the Ys aren't going anywhere. And the LM8UUs slid on easily, but do not have enough play to constitute this movement...they also seem to be properly popped into place.
Since Solidoodle's left printed Y bracket started caving in once I was loosening the belt (???), I had to replace that, so belts are not on as of yet. Could that be the issue?
Pretty bummed since I can't print till this is done
