To be fair to PLA, the inside of a car gets REALLY hot.

I printed a screen cover for a dash cam out of PLA. It warped/melted from just being in the direct sunlight in the car. That should give you an idea how little heat PLA can take.

Can't make it out of PLA for this reason, has to be ABS.

There are two-part hoppers available on thingiverse if you don't want to disassemble.

Hi folks! I just ran the Filastruder for a couple of hours for my first time, and the hopper seems to be melting. The pictures attached are views from the top and frontish of the Filastruder.

I wouldn't be too worried, except that there's now a gap between the hopper and the barrel. I think that the hopper is made of PLA, since that was the only material we had when we got the Filastruder. Does it melt more easily than ABS? Would we do better at this point reprinting it in ABS, and if we do, is there actually some way to get the current hopper off, since there's now plastic melted and solidified in the nozzle?
