]]> Fri, 07 Dec 2012 21:47:10 +0000 https://www.soliforum.com/post/6618/#p6618 <![CDATA[Re: Christmas STLs]]> https://www.soliforum.com/post/6604/#p6604 Nope, I encountered issues with the smoothed version (that whole "holes encountered" issue), but it printed.   I fixed it after I uploaded the faceted version.  I'll upload the smoothed version tonight when I get home.  The smooth version is a little more intensive time-wise to slice (heck of a lot more tri-s), but it does look better.  The faceted version still works, but I can see why you'd want to use the smooth version more; just more pretty to look at.

Yeah, I'm looking at doing that as well as money is a little tight this year.  Kidlets get gifts, adults will probably get printed materials as I still have some filament left to do it.  I'm looking at doing a small 3x5 photo frame that I can customize for each family.

Sliced with Skeinforge. Used glow in the dark abs, 3mm layer, 3 perimeters, 20% fill, 195C.
