Hello all. I've been constructing both plastic scale models and 3d digital models for many years. I was hooked on 3d modeling long before the maker movement and the recent 3d printing explosion. I have adopted digital modeling and 3d printing to aid my artwork and scale modeling. I currently use 3d printing in both my professional life and my personal hobbies. I do not own a 3d printer but will likely consider it sometime soon. I use a variety of 3d print service websites out there rather than buy a printer because I typically need very detailed small parts or something made in metal and desktop printers just are not there yet., Unless there is something I am missing. Another reason why I joined, education.

(attached image parts, printed on kraftwurx, with projet's visijet crystal material)

I would like to know where else to get parts this detailed and if there are any desktop/home printers that can do comparable parts. I know of the form1, but are users getting this level of detail?

-THanks
