I have mine mounted vertically and when I had the motor box sitting horizontal, it seemed to quit.

Run to failure and email me if you need a replacement. If you want, you could pull the motor to see if it's the motor gearbox.

I've heard infrequent squealing before, usually it went away after 20-30 hours.

]]> Sun, 23 Mar 2014 14:50:38 +0000 https://www.soliforum.com/post/52743/#p52743 <![CDATA[Motor squealing]]> https://www.soliforum.com/post/52741/#p52741 Last night the motor on my Filastruder started squealing.  I looked in the forum to do some trouble shooting.  I started to check the coupling between the motor and the shank.  I took the motor off and plugged it in and it is still squealing with the motor just sitting there.  The squeal sounds like it is coming from the gearbox.
