I also believe the post has a Prefix drop down that has General, Help, and Solved as options.

While trying to clean out the hot end link I've done before, I ended up noticing that the little hinged part for the roller had actually cracked, so the roller was no longer applying a normal force to the filament against the stepper motor. I emailed support, and they're going to send me a new set of laser cut parts to rebuild the extruding head.

It wasn't a clogged hot end, but that helped me find the problem. Thanks, guys!

So the extruder stepper motor should still be turning and trying to push filament into the hotend... and therefore grinding a dimple in the filament where it contacts the stepper drive gear.

That, my friend is a clogged hot end. Covered many times here on the forum.

It actually doesn't show any errors. The hot end just stops extruding, and the printer will just continue and finish the rest of the toolpaths.

What if any errors are shown in the log window?

Usually it is the overtemp protection getting triggered, this will show up in the log... if this is the case then you probably need to run the autotune for the PID's on the extruder temp controller

Sometimes it is a bed connection to the thermistor on the hotend either in the IDC connectors or at the crimp to the actual thermistor.

So I've recently been having a problem with the extruder hot end just turning off in the middle of prints. Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it?
