I don't know if the one you have stock for your solidoodle has the same resistance correspondence as the one you bought.

For example, when you switch to the E3D it uses a different thermistor type in the firmware, so you have to change that.

OP, I'm not sure what you're asking here - as long as the setting in your firmware matches the installed thermistor, you're good to go.

However, It is certainly an upgrade.
I am not an electrical expert, so I cannot give a definitive word of wisdom. sad
However, some of the best minds on here contribute regularly to Soliwiki.

Is the thermistor you are holding the old or the new?
