I'm still getting great results with 1 layer of 3m blue painters tape on cheap mirrors and a thin coat of the purple glue stick. I've had a few parts sit for about 10-12 hours and still be hard to pull off. I'm sure I would have if it weren't for the tape. Being new to this I like having that little buffer between my nozzle and anything that could damage it. I'll try rinsing it under water next time I have a real sticker. I've found that the glue stick washes away better with warm water.

I can't thank you all enough for all of the tips. They've been a huge help.

Just took a chunk out of my glass last night trying to get one off that I'd left to cool and forgot about... Looks like I've got no more sticking problems now. Might ditch the brim now it's in no danger of peeling up.

Just changed brand of hairspray to Tresemme Freeze Hold (black can from woolies in Aus) and it's working much better.
Method:

Nice thick layer onto gently abraded glass

Cooked for a while on the heated bed

Brief spray between prints to top up where the outline was

Bed needs to cool a bit before the print comes off

Still using 3mm brim

Haven't done anything phenomenally long yet, but it's much easier than it was. Original spray was coming away with the prints, which was pretty useless.
If you're struggling with spray, change brand, look for different ingredients on the list. "[insert long organic chemistry formal name here]-copolymer" is a good sign.

@Ggunners. Thanks again. I acctually have 3 glass pieces and started doing just that. Well I still like the painters tape on the glass. But for about week or so now, a light coat of glue stick is doing a fantastic job.

You can hear the plastic shrink and come loose. Having 2 sheets of glass, lets you keep printing without letting everything cool down.

For hairspray, look for Acrylates Copolymer or Vinyl in the ingredients. I don't see any reason to clean the bed between prints if you are just going to reapply the hairspray. Subsequent layers of hairspray and ABS residue are only going to improve the stick.
