]]> Sat, 01 Mar 2014 16:44:06 +0000 https://www.soliforum.com/post/51186/#p51186 <![CDATA[SD2 Y axis clunk]]> https://www.soliforum.com/post/51074/#p51074 Finally got it adjusted where I thought it would print - it did, for a few small prints.  Tried to print the flat brackets for the MK1 spool holder off Thingiverse.  It seems that any long y-axis travel causes a noticeable 'clunk' when changing direction into the y-axis from back to front (+ to -),  thus causing a 1/16 or so inch rearward displacement of the print on each run .  This happens immediately on the first few layers. 

Finally got most of the 'not sticking' problem solved and now this.  This happens on anything longer than about a 1 inch y-axis print line. 

Really need a spool holder to feed vertically (least resistance), as it seems the spool that came with the filament I have causes too much drag on the print head, and again causes print distortion.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.  Will reply to any responses Fri evening or so - 0500 comes early for us older folks.......
