finally after uninstalling and reinstalling slic3r AND creating a new profile i was able to get the custom G Code to work! and Raft wasnt working cause Brim was enabled, cant have both? picky picky! sometimes i just dont get the eccentricities of some programs

Oh and in newer version of RH - make sure you don't leave 'Override Slic3r Settings' ticked I often do this and it will clobber infil/layer heights/cooling etc

Thats where you put it - Slicer Configuration->Printer Settings->Custom G;Code .
Make sure you save it, and that you have that printer profile selected in the Slic3r tab .

Separately, but worth noting -slic3r will ignore any temps set via 'Filament' tab for first layer, bed temp, etc if you have any temp commands in your custom start code - so I leave all the m109 etc out of the custom code (including just commented out - that broke in some slic3r versions) and set all temps via the filament tab..

thats what i have i have it synced with Repetier host or whatever. i ended up moving the head super close to the bed and a fresh shot of hairspray got it to stick.

and on a separate note. i see you have custom startup G code where do you have that saved at , cause i added some stuff to the start up Gcode in Slicer and it dosent execute what i put in there! i saved it and made sure those were the selections i had for slicing, it just dosent do it!

all i tried to add was M42 P8 S255 so i could turn on the fans i have there i wouldnt mind have the extrude anchor in there too

Works fine here - although I am now onto 1.0RC3 of slic3r (worth manually upgrading if you haven't and aren't on that .. 0.95F is still 1.0RC3)...

There is a slight error in the model; which I repaired in the attached STL.. but otherwise, works fine with 3 layers of raft..

using lates R-host and Slicer 1.0 trying to add a raft to the fan duct model from here http://www.soliforum.com/topic/204/fan-installation/

the inner ring keeps coming detached from the bed before it gets a chance to stableize itself by bridging to the outer part. so ive been tryingto enable the raft option and no matter what when i slice it it just dosent add the raft! ivve tried 1-3 layers of raft, and even tried slicing with the standalone slicer program and importing the Gcode, still no raft?! anyone else having this problem?
