One major downside is that you have to upload it to their VERY slow severs.. another downside is the lighting which any white lighting will clip out the mesh and it will make it fail.. looks like ill need a soft box first. Power software, but i think i can make it work with the correct planning.

Ill upload my results a long the way. Now the name escapes me but i friend just bought that $400 dollar scanner from staples, i forget the name. It's complete junk, and can't scan worth crap! needless to say hes returning it, and when i showed him this free solution, it was only salt on the wound! haha. It does pretty well, but we shall see!

Worked pretty dang well for not even attempting to contrast the colors, use decent lighting, and the object was reflective. Really impressed! I scanned a large green translucent water bottle which when i find the link ill load it up. Apparently you download the software on your computer and than can edit the object, and make it printable. More info to come. Offer still open if anyone wants to make a quick $40 bucks to scan it on a makerbot digitizer, or some other means.

Downloaded 123 on my iPhone! Seems to take a longtime since you take 40+ photos, than upload them to auto desk servers to get processed in there cloud. This may just work though!! I'll ipload my results.

Not ideal - but its probably instantly accessible if you know anyone with an iPad....
