I'm very curious about this myself. I've been planning to build an acrylic negative pressure chamber based on a recommendation from the Google forum, but I feel like the design of the expert model may allow for something like this in the existing case. The main problem with mounting a fan in the case is causing airflow over the work, perhaps cooling it too fast.

I'm planning on putting together a simple fume hood to put over my Solidoodle 2 when I get it, just as a precautionary measure when working with molten ABS. I know the fumes are most likely not that harmful, but I feel it's better to aim for the safe side if you're going to be sitting next to a 3d printer for hours on end. I'm hoping to be able to put something together using plastic covers, PVC pipes and regular computer fans and a stand-alone PSU. Something like this:

I wondered if any of you have designed a fume hood for a 3d printer or some other device before? If you have or if you have any ideas, please post them. And if you happen to have pictures that would be awesome.

Oh yeah, this is my first 3d printer. So complete and utter newbie alert.
