One huge discovery I have made recently is to generate support targeted material in the model instead of relying on the slicer... The slicer ALWAYS makes a mess of the print and requires a lot of clean up after printing.

Depending on the geometry of your print, this guide can be a huge help to support your model and requires a LOT less cleanup afterwards. Give it a shot. Once you do it one or twice it is pretty easy to do.

http://www.extrudable.me/2013/12/28/mes … ting-role/

If your printer is still overextruding then support material will have a better bond to the actual print... have you done any of the calibrations to fix the factory overextruding issues?

http://www.soliwiki.com/Main_Page#Calibrations
