<![CDATA[SoliForum - 3D Printing Community — Found: Surplus power spoolers with two spools for $8 each]]> https://www.soliforum.com/topic/5077/found-surplus-power-spoolers-with-two-spools-for-8-each/ Sun, 05 Jan 2014 16:15:21 +0000 PunBB <![CDATA[Found: Surplus power spoolers with two spools for $8 each]]> https://www.soliforum.com/post/45849/#p45849 At American Science and Surplus, I found these power spooler sets for $7.95 each.  It comes with two empty 7-1/2 x 6 3/4 spools.   It looks like one would need to drill out the ends of the spool or make an adapter to fit them onto a normal printer, but even then the price just for the spools isn't so bad, but you get a battery-operated spooler/screwdriver too.  I ordered a couple to check them out, and perhaps experiment with creating some sort of ghetto filament winder setup.
