I doubt I'll have any problems uploading. If I have to, I can use my AVRISP mkII and bypass most of the software complications. I was just hoping I could get a copy of the printrboard solidoodle 2 firmware somewhere so I could put everything back in case I break it :-). I also have the teensy uploader, which certainly works on my teensy boards that have the exact same USB ID.

I guess I should hook up the ISP and check the fuse settings. If the flash memory isn't locked out, I can probably use the ISP to read the existing flash contents so I'll be able to put that back.

Of course it will still take forever to figure out which of the two ways the ISP connector is supposed to fit on the printrboard pins :-).

Update: I did indeed manage to read the flash (and eeprom) contents with the AVRISP mkII. I even ran a "strings" command on the result and found all sorts of strings that said Marlin and Solidoodle and wot-not, so it does appear to be the real flash contents and not some random garbage. I guess the flash isn't locked out. (And, miraculously, the cable connector fits the convenient way - no need to fold it back on itself :-).

Perhaps I'll actually try loading new firmware now that I seem to have a backup.
