Village Plastics supplies a bunch of retail filament vendors.  I wonder if they will still be allowed to supply retailers who sell filament for $40/kg while also making the filament 3DS sells for $150/kg.  I suppose 3DS wouldn't be too worried about getting undercut by cheap filament from their own supplier since all of their filament comes in cartridges which are chipped.  I've heard that sometimes the chip reports a cartridge is empty when it still has filament so that's even more money for them.
