<![CDATA[SoliForum - 3D Printing Community — weird temperature oscillations]]> https://www.soliforum.com/topic/4499/weird-temperature-oscillations/ Sat, 09 Nov 2013 02:26:17 +0000 PunBB <![CDATA[weird temperature oscillations]]> https://www.soliforum.com/post/41112/#p41112 To start off this is not on a solidoodle, but my modded delta that I have been building.  Im using a authentic j-head hotend with a .5 nozzle with the resistor that came with it.  When it shifts to the second layer and speeds up the temperature starts oscillating back and forth 10-15C.  I have tried numerous things and still the issue is there so im not sure if anyone has any pointers as to where to check.  Also my heater power does not show up in repetier unless im auto tuning the PID as shown below. I think thats just a setting in the firmware but im unsure where to look.  I attached my config.h file so maybe someone can look it over.

I have tried the following:
-auto tuned PID numerous times
-cartridge heater
-several thermistors
-new power supply
-ran shielded wire all the way back to the board
-routed all power wires/stepper wires/ etc away from thermistor inputs
-tried the other spare thermistor input on my azteeg x3
-insulating the hotend
