For a while, I've been looking for a good US supplier of JST connectors as well as a ratcheting crimping tool to make installing the crimp pins easier. I just wanted to share my results, just in case anyone else was having trouble finding an affordable crimper and connectors.

The crimper that I got is $23 and Amazon prime eligible. It is sized so that the smaller part of the die works with the JST pins, while still having a larger die for larger pins. Link

Finally, you can find the pins just about anywhere (the crimper was the hardest to find for me), but I found a place that also carries some neat additions that might be worthwhile. Value Hobby sells male and female sets of JST connectors at $1 for 10 sets.

If you are also interested in some of the other things I found, you can look into a tap for M3, M4, and M5 threads for $1 a piece and with the handle for $2. I'm not sure of the quality of these yet, but I think that they should hold up fine if used on plastic. They can be found here. Shipping for all of this was $4, and arrived after a day or two. Please note that I am in no way affiliated with these suppliers. I just wanted to give some information to anyone who might be in my previous situation. Thanks.
