I sand the surface with 220 grit just to knock off any high spots then spray just enough to wet the surface. At whatever temp it may be. Sometimes I'll leave the glass on when I'm printing small parts that pop off without cooling, and just squirt a little in the middle for the next piece. That way I can minimize the waiting time to reheat the bed.

I usually use one or two sprays about 30cm away, however I used to use much more (5-6 sprays). Ultimately, try something like 3, and if you still have warping use more next time. As for bed heat, I don't think it really matters (both work). One more thing: My recommendation would be to take the glass out, spray it, and put it back in. It can be done while on the build plate, but be extra careful not to get any on the rods of the Solidoodle.

Hi all,

Recently got some glass and hairspray for my SD2. When and how much hairspray are people using? i.e. apply it when the bed is hot or cold (or does it not matter)? and how thick a coat?

Cheers,
Alex.
