I calculated the cost associated with running the filastruder for a week and how much filament i would created 18lb box=9 spools(assuming everything goes smooth)
Extruding18lb of pellets would cost you almost $90+$40-$50 electricity for a week.
So i would end up paying $130-$140 for 9 spools of filament which i have to make and wind and keep feeder full day and night hoping that everything goes well (never does)
Dont get me started on calculating electricity because calculation based on Kw is not good since electrical companies do not charge per Kw, they charge per range of Kw. Each range of Kw used has its own price so let that go now please.

Anyway.
9 spools on ebay of ALREADY finished product will cost you around $15 per spool15*9=$135 AT MOST !!!!

With that said, PETG is allot cheaper and allot better then PLA.
So far the only reasonable PETG supplier is filastruder https://www.filastruder.com/collections/pellets

Any feedback on that ?

I have made some 3D870 and it is the best PLA I've made / used. It extrudes very smooth, I can extrude a spool an hour with it. I made a post about how well it works on my website https://fusionfilaments.com/pages/faqs

3D870 is close to 3D850 except for a few things. It doesn't like to break when bent. It can flex a whole lot (think living hinge) before it breaks. 3D850 can do this, but not for long. 870 also extrudes without stringing like 850 does when printing. The flow pressure during extrusion is lower than 850 so more can be processed at a time.

I compare 3D870 to ABS. It prints like ABS, it has the rigidness of 4043D, it has layer adhesion similar to PETG, and it has the temperature resistance similar to ABS. I started using 3D870 and I am hooked. Of all the 4043D I've used though the years, 3D870 is my replacement for ABS hands down.

This was not done on my filastruder, but I do use my filastruder for prototyping materials and pigments though.

The 3D850 I bought from 3DSupplySource awhile back was amazing - even broke off the tip of a metal tool I tried to use on my first print with it, albeit it was a Harbor Freight metal tool.

Have you made any filament with the 3D870 yourself, and how would you say it compares to 3D850?  I still have some EASTAR PETG left from where I bought 50lbs of it in one go, but when that's out I'll definitely need to keep you in mind.
