+1 it needs to be calibrated and it only takes a few minutes. 
Verify that it isn't stripping I had the most trouble with that exact white filament from Solidoodle and could show you many examples of mine that looked Identical to your pictures.  If you are getting any white dust or shavings on the drive or bearing you are dealing with some form of clogging.  Since I switched over to the E3d hot end I have been able to use that white filament again without any problems.

I have had this happen on my machine and the cause was the barrel not being tight enough in the peek.  The plastic would build up in between the joint and restrict the new filament from being able to extrude properly.  I also ended up with what looked like burnt plastic coming out which in my case also caused a partially clogged nozzle.

By chance are you using ABS temp settings with PLA filament?

]]> Tue, 27 Aug 2013 01:32:29 +0000 https://www.soliforum.com/post/34349/#p34349 <![CDATA[Re: Anyone know what I might be doing wrong]]> https://www.soliforum.com/post/34321/#p34321 It'd be easier to diagnose if the base layer didn't look so good.  Did you change your layer height to higher than .3 by mistake?  It looks like it's not bonding to the layer below which is why ronsii is thinking temps and speed, but that should also have affected the layer below unless you had a different speed setting for your base layer. 

More information is needed.
